I need assistance on how to get java plugin and enable it on mozilla in order to run abinit on nanohub. Anytime i open nanohub to run abinit i get message that java plugin is missing.

It will be very hard to give a pertinent information to you without knowing the operating system on which java has to be installed.
One way is to get the right package from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and follow the provided instructions - a plain method for Windows and OSX.
Many Linux distributions repositories provide java packages and browsers plugins as for example https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Java so it is better to check your particular variant for a more appropriate method of installation.
