HI every one
I installed intel fortran compiler but after configuring MPICH2 and abinit-5.8.4 I realize that it is configured with the system compiler (gcc-4.2)
I have two questions:
1-what is the feast of compiling both with gcc makes them less reliable (in therm speed)
2-how can I force them to configure itself with the ifc
thanks
compiler problem

Please have a look at ~abinit/doc/config/build-config.ac in the source package for detailed and up-to-date information about the configuration of Abinit 8 builds.
For a video explanation on how to build Abinit 7.x for Linux, please go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DppLQ-KQA68.

Re: compiler problem
1. I don't understand your question.
2. Pass FC=ifort as an argument to configure.
