This position requires a Ph.D. in physics, chemistry or materials science with primary focus on theoretical research. Candidates should have a strong record of research experience, including the skill of using state-of-the-art first principles electronic structure methods to study material properties. Experience with parallel programming of electronic structure codes is beneficial. The successful candidate will work on methodology development of approximate, yet quantitative, approaches to many-bod y perturbation theory, specifically the GW and BSE approaches.
