Hi,
I noticed on my own computer (MBP Late 2013 running ubuntu13.10 core-i7) and on my cluster (AMD opteron 6180) abinit crashs when using gcc (4.9 on my MBP and 4.8.2 on the AMD) combined with MKL(11 and 10).
The faulty routine are zdotc and zdotu.
I activated the flag (--enable-zdot-bugfix) to no use the BLAS routine but a standard loop instead. That works.
Can we test that those two functions work during the configuration step ?
Also I don't quite understand why it does not work on those two machines whereas it seems to work on tikal gcc4.9
On my MBP still running ubuntu, intel14 + MK works just fine.
Cheers,
Jordan

Re: zdotc within gcc+mkl
I can run a test of the zdotc/zdotu routines, but I cannot guarantee that it will trigger the bug, since I'll have to greatly limitate the size of the arrays to keep the timing short.
I'll put it as a feature request for the BS of Abinit 8.
